Can anyone point me in the direction of a paperback copy of The Endlands? I chose this book for a Book Club of 15 women and no one can find a copy. I have seasrched every where on the internet only to find ebook versions.

I found some graphic novel editions of several episodes at my local library and loved ‘em. Very faithful to the shows, but more suited to teh comics medium. It was like re-discovering the show. I highly recommend finding these.

I think it’s mostly laziness on my part. The few times I get the chance to sit down and enjoy a horror movie, I usually don’t want to read subtitles. Also, it may be the fact that i have an old tv, and reading subtitles is tough, lol.

I will take your suggestion and watch one with subtitles though….then, of course, review it.

Demons follow me all the time, men , well, I scare them away, and yet, I didn’t have the mindset to write this script. I really need to start listening to the voices in my head more than I have been. Much, much more than I have been. It was a good movie:)

I enjoyed reading your opinion on this movie. I went to see it on Halloween, and as far as I knew this was all real, so as soon as even the tiniest thing happened as a result of said demon I buried my head in my boyfriends chest until the lights came back on and it was over. I wish I had the opportunity to critique the dialogue and acting but I seriously did not even watch it (and I payed for it). I couldn’t sleep for days. Until I found out it was in fact not real at all. It scared me so much because, like you said, you can’t kill a demon; and the context that Christianity puts demons under is quite frightening. Anything having to do with religion is quite frightening I think. I can’t necessarily comment on the movie itself, but I’ll take your word for it and maybe even try renting it.

Sad you typically avoid subtitled movies, as if you are a horror fan, you are missing out on some of the finest horrors ever made, most notably Haute Tension / Switchblade Romance and Let The Right One In.

For me subtitles can be tough going if the film is overly talky, but these kind of movies are usually fairly minimal, and I find myself reading the subtitles without realising I am after a while. Just takes practice.

Trust me, foriegn cinema is certianly something worth persevering with, as often (unlike this film) they tend to be more daring and non-formulaic, and therefore more rewarding than what you are probably used to.
